2025 - 2026 SEASON

The CHS Theatre Arts season features plays and musicals based on well-known titles. Students participating in these productions go through a full audition process and are cast in roles based on their audition.

March 20 - 22, 2026 | Carlisle Local Schools Theater

Here is Rydell High’s senior class of 1959!  Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as “Greased Lightnin’,” “It’s Raining on Prom Night” and “Alone at the Drive-In Movie,” recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions, place Grease among the world’s most popular musicals.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos. Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.
